PCCB not only stops rusting, dirty dust, and the heavy powerful car , but also stop the admiring glance on the street.

Definitely do it if you can afford it. As guys said it already, the epicness of them is just there plus that's a fast and heavy beast. If you have a heavy foot you'll definitely appreciate the stopping power when a curve comes to sight.

Without tracking, what's the typical lifespan of PCCBs? Definitely not driving like a granny (no offense ) but DEFINITELY not stomping on brakes every signal. Although considering the fact that the car is already well above 6 figure range and PCCB is a pocket change for many pepper owners, I am just curious.

Without tracking they should last for a very long time. Have a buddy who daily drives his car with over ten trackdays already and he still has the original rotors.

Love the ceramic brakes on my turbo. In combination with my V1, they have saved me from numerous tickets. They have also helped me avoid at least 1 accident. I have also noticed that they are attention getters as the majority of people looking at the car only comment on how massive the brakes are. The only problem I have is that because of their size, no aftermarket wheels fit to my knowledge. The stock wheels aren't bad looking but there are better looking aftermarket wheels.

Their pedal feel and stopping power suit my driving style to a 'T'
Love my Champion 22RG5Bs

So I have been reading up on PCCB on here and over on rennlist. One thing that is holding me back is some one said that a stray rock could shatter the ceramic? The PCCB's can't be that fragile can they?

I have never heard that and I have had Ceramics on 4 cars. Never an issue ever. I love them. They are expensive but I would go for it.

The only issues I've read is the occasional brake squealing.

+1
I've had about 8 cars with ceramics and never a single negative issue to report!
Like Porsche says "There is no substitute"!

Had 2 different Dealers tell me they were overkill and the Red Brakes were all I'd ever need.
If I had to, I would do without my ACC and my Burm....but never the Ceramics!

I think the upcharge for the PCCBs is pretty reasonable for what you get. If you ordered the parts from Porsche as an afterthought I think it's $21K for the kit plus installation. I belabored over this last week before ordering my GTS with stock Red brakes. I drove 2 GTSs back to back, 1 with yellow and one with red and the yellow PCCB brakes stopped much better. But they final decision came down to the $3500 per rotor replacement cost and that the size is odd meaning buying aftermarket iron rotors to replace is not an option like on the smaller Porsches. I was told that most of the guys running small cars on the track that had the PCCBs replace them with iron rotors for track use. So there is enough market to produce the size. StopTech told me similar info when I talked to them about ceramic vs iron. Squealing is reported regularly. My dealer sales and service also talked a lot about pitting with track use, cracking with street use and breaking rotors during wheel removal. No dust would be great as would the unsprug weight savings. I haven't lived with them so I'm just going by what I have been told.

I imagine the majority of the stopping power is from the fronts being 2.2" bigger.

Red= F 360mm R 330mm Yellow= F 416mm R 370mm

So what I will likely do it buy a set of Brembos with 405mm fronts and 380mm rears. They also have aluminum hats so that will save some weight over the stock iron centers. Plus replacement rotors are $565 and $501 plus hardware. $8500 for this set and $8840 for the PCCBs. So a wash there.

I don't know anything about aftermarket wheels not fitting. Porsche says 20" or bigger if you spec the ceramics. I would think any 22" aftermarket would easily fit and probably some 20s. There is about an inch between the rotor and the rim with Porsche 21 inch wheels. If someone knows for sure differently let me know.
