Ceramic Brakes?

Ceramic Brakes?
Hello,
I'm going to be ordering a new cayenne and I'm stuck between the Turbo and the GTS. Its not really to do with the price, as by the time I've spec'd up the GTS to my standard its pretty much the same price as my spec'd Turbo The dilemma is do I want a Concorde or an F-16 fighter
But with both, I'm stuck deciding on wether I want the Ceramic brakes or not. Are they worth the money? If they are, I don't mind paying, I'm just not convinces I want them.
Any advice?

I wrestled with this too. Had 2 salesmen indepently advise me strongly against it.
They look fabulous (I get more comments on the brakes than the car itself)
Your Wheels always look good (no dust)
And the stopping ability has already saved me from one accident.
I would do it again every time.

Porsche has the best brakes in the business
Which is quite evident with the PCCBs
Imho,worth every penny
Super smooth pedal feel, you only need to 'feather' the brakes, coupled with very strong braking power proves to be a pleasant and effective combo
Will only get them from now on
Also yellow does pop more than red, especially against JBM..but also works well with white
If you have the budget for them..do not hesitate one more second

Ha!imho,turbo boost..there is no substitute
Though beware,it is highly addictive..and there will be no going back once you get a taste of it...

I vote for the GTS because it's the only way I could afford to get all the internal options I want. All spec'd out my GTS will cost almost as much as the starting CTTS price. But it's got every option I want (no PCCB's but LOTS of leather and fun options on the inside). I waffled on Burmester but for the type of music I like Bose will probably suffice.
I'd certainly agree with the others too - if $$$ no object and you have need for speed then Turbo is prob your best choice.

PCCB looks great, I remember C&D did a test and showed PCCB was no better in stopping compared to the big red. Maybe others can chime in or find the article. There are numerous posts at Rennlist about PCCB vs Big Red too. Most said the PCCB has a better initial bite, but it came down to the difference in brake pads that were fitted with different rotors from the factory. Check it out, I’m sure you can still find those posts.
Can't go wrong with both, but if you can, get the turbo!

I have PCCBS coming on my turbo S . stopping power great on my Current CTT but I would prefer better pedal pressure and no brake dust
I know the difference in steelies vs. ceramics on my older Ferraris compared to my 16M is night and day.
In the current super car market ceramics are usually fitted (as a no cost standard)
gotta love PCNA but after all the Cayenne is a truck. gotta pay to play .Std PCCBS on 911 turbo s
