For those with post Nov 12' Cayenne, if you have the USB connector, can you check if the PCM will also display video from iPhone or DVD?

Car makers are constantly adding new features to their products. However, they do not have obligation to retro fit any new features to previous clients, software is no different, unless if it is safety related. The new system has a 40G Jukebox so perhaps the hardware is also different. If it only involves new software, you might be able to get the dealer to update it. They probably won't get paid by Porsche for doing do. And if they do it for one client, they have to do it for everyone else. Don't forget they are there to make money. One of the main reasons that people buy new cars is because they want the new features. But I guess it doesn't hurt to ask. Good luck.

No, only audio portion of the video is playable. I think this is restricted by the country. Because most places prohibit video playback which is visible by the driver. But I guess they do allow video playback when the transmission is at Park. The PCM system is definitely capable to play video as Porsche offers a TV tuner option in some market.

Its strange that Porsche will update features in the middle of a model year cycle for some builds & not the others. Its understandable if its a feature add-on for new model year.

This has happened before. Porsche had installed a dash clock to some cars during the 2012 model year. This had created a lot of confusion and a lot of people who did not get the clock were trying to retrofit it. But I don't think anybody has any success in doing so. It is not as simple as it seems.

I really doubt it.
Jukebox has a separate 30Gb HDD, so I highly doubt is a software update...

I would gladly take it!
But hardly consider a mere 30GBs an update, more like..well,on a good day...an afterthought..what the you-know-what is up with such a Bieber sized HDD?
Don't even get me started on the nav unit
