Needing sympathy or empathy for the long wait!

You can spend a lot of the wait reading the 2 huge manuals. I studied them intently and am still learning new tricks.
There is the operating manual on line:

But I don't think the PCM manual is available on line for the 2011-2013 years unless that has changed.

If you are an iPhone or iPad user the entire current MY manual are in either of two apps: Introduction to Porsche Cayenne and Good To Know.
The first one has current MY and past year-or-two on Cayennes only - the second one has current MY for all models across the board. Each model year can be downloaded separately on the latter - and they are rather large.
They are interesting reads - in a nice format with the requisite "soccer-mom" videos embedded - and they are nice to have going forward.
Not sure if they are available for Android or Windows Phone.

by the way do you know how a vehicle can be traced as it's shipped over using the VIN?

Unlike BMWs, Porsches cannot be traced by the consumer. Your dealer should have some information as to where and when it's loaded on the vessel and where and when it's expected to arrive in the US. Mine is shipping on March 29 and is projected to arrive in Rhode Island on April 5. By the way, if you get the dealer to provide the vessel name, you can track the vessel. See prior posts here on how.

I went through "I don't like my dealer" as well but I have to say they been passing the test lately, would be nice for it to stay that way. You should know more by now unless you have an uncommon order.

My wife's Cayenne S first day on the open sea was 4/5. Supposedly will be in San Diego between 5/10-5/17 and in Northern California about a week later. I followed my M3 across the ocean and even knew when she was in the paint shop and various steps of assembly. Can't wait to see it in the flesh!
