Made tail pipes black like a GTS

Finally got around to doing the pipes black. I actually sprayed them on the car after masking everything off and they look good. I used the plastidip as other have discussed on here. I am very happy with the black look.

str8blst- will do. I don't think they get hot since it is like a decorative pipe over the actual tail pipe but we'll see. I know I was always going back and cleaning the black exhaust stuff off the originals so that will be reduced since I won't see it

Thanks ECS. It was certainly an easy job that anyone can do.

Great idea. I actually just got them powder coated gloss black (they were already black) on my 14 GTS. Porsche does such a bad job on the black finish. They literally just use some cheap spray paint (see first picture).

I just saw a used 2014 GTS with less than 3K miles on a dealer lot and the cheap black paint was chipping off already. Unbelievable. At least he tips on the 958 are alot easier to remove than the previous 957 GTS. My powder coater removed the outer sleeve by drilling out the rivets to separate the pieces. I was picky and wanted both the exhaust and sleeve done. He reinstalled new rivets again after finishing. It's all good to 1000 plus degrees! Powder coating is the best finish you could use. It might be a little bit overkill for just exhaust tips, but I'm pretty big on all the little details.

That is great. I now must admit that I tried to remove them but had no success and didn't know that the rivets would need to be drilled. At one point I wanted to send them to Powdercoat Mike on the forum and he was going to do them for me. I know that is a better way to go. Congratulations!

Love the powder coating, definitely better than plastic dip.
