Anyone here purchased/installed these? I'm looking for some feedback on their appearance and value, I ordered my GTS without the motorized ones, we have a new baby and I'm trying to decide whether to order these OEM ones or just use some universal ones.

I didn't know you could order without. However, the universal ones will work fine and can be moved from one side to the other if you want. They won't look as good but you won't need them that often probably as the rear windows are pretty dark from the factory.

HOiYA is infamous around these parts
You might also look into window tints that block out UV, such as nano films (premier) or ceramics (huper optiks). I just picked up a new Q5 for the wife that has rear manual shades, but she says the kids still feel the heat. On my CTTS I have both the tint and rear shades. Hardly use the rear shades as the tint blocks out a significant amount of the heat.

I have the motorized rear sun shades in mine and they don't block the sun 100%. not to mention when my kid sits back there he always pulls and yanks on it.

I got the built in ones so I can't help specifically.

We did, however, go through what you are with our 3 series (thus the requirement of getting the built in ones). The OEM version for the BMW fit much better than the 3rd party options we looked at.

Like Mike said they don't block 100% (maybe 50?), but they definitely make a difference. Coupled with the factory tint in the Cayenne the difference is more significant than the 3 which isn't tinted.
