What should i offer for 2014 CTTS demo?
Could use some advice...
I'm considering an offer for a new/demo 2014 CTTS from my local dealer.
The dealer has sat on this for many, many months.
The msrp is 159,900 and their holiday sale price is around 144k (still too high).
I think they are highly motivated to move this vehicle for various reasons.
My question: What percent off should i request?
I would appreciate any insight and recommendations since i'm far from a pro at this stuff!
If i can get a good price for trading my CTT and receive over 20% off msrp for the new one, i just may consider a move.
In my opinion, a demo'd 2014 CTTS is only worth it (to me), with a steep discount.
If i cannot get the discount i need, no problem... I love my current ride too.
As far as the demo CTTS, I really like the color and the option list and would be very close to what i would order if i had the chance.
I likely wouldn't order the Adaptive cruise...
I would request 68k for my 2011 CTT (msrp of 119,900). It's CPO'd, in good shape and currently at 50k miles with fresh service (just completed). The CPO warranty is good until August 2016.
Cayenne Turbo S - demo (unsure of exact mileage at this time)
0Q - White
1D6 - Towing Package
2ZH - Multifunction steering wheel incl. steering-wheel heating
3FU - Panoramic Roof System
4D3 - Seat Ventilation (Front)
4F6 - Porsche Entry & Drive
7V3 - Instruments dials in White
7X8 - Reversing Camera with ParkAssist Front and Rear
7Y1 - Lane Change Assist (LCA)
8BT - Bi-Xenon™ Headlights in Black with Porsche Dynamic Light System (PDLS)
8SI - LED Taillights Tinted Black
8T3 - Adaptive Cruise Control with Porsche Active Safe (PAS)
AKN - Sport Chrono Clock in White
LC - Leather Interior in Black
QJ4 - Exterior Package in high-gloss Black

I think you are hunting in the right range but they may be reluctant to give you both. When will their 2015 demo be in? That might be their max incentive to move the 2014 you are looking at.

Thanks RedGTS.
I certainly understand what you're saying. They already have launch CTT (2015) vehicles at their dealership but not sure about demo.
Getting 20% off is one thing, but a good trade price to boot.... could be wishful thinking
However, I'll never know... if i don't try.
I may have to try selling my CTT private party, but then i lose any potential tax savings on the trade difference (resulting in about $4500)
I found one comparable CTTS in the country (San Diego, CA).
Their currently advertising about 15% off msrp (only 148 miles).

Anyone else with any advice/insight?
Wow... do i have a bug to trade for a newer CTT/CTTS
I'm not entirely sure why - since i love my CTT, especially in Meteor

68K for your trade? With 50K miles... your trade in price is way off base, looking at auction numbers expect a fair market value offer between 52 and 55K. (granted small sample size) but saw a CPO 2011 CTT with similar miles listed at 59k at my local dealer. to offer you 68K would mean they are eating/overpaying at least 13K-15K, and dealers aren't in the charity business (I know I worked at one a long time ago )

The reason i wanted to start my trade negotiation at 68k is since my dealership has a very similar equipped 2011 CTT as mine.
Their current sale price is $73900. They were asking 75900 until the holidays.
That seemed like the best thing to negotiate to since it was on their lot
Regardless, i get that my trade price mentioned previously, is high.
I will use that as a starting point and find something fair.
If not, i will advertise private party as i also mentioned above.
The point of this thread is largely to help me find what % off for a 2014 demo is acceptable.
However, since i listed some specifics for my CTT, its fair game for challenge i guess

If you asked me (which you didn't ), I would say hold onto you 11, get a 15 CTT, or wait for the new CTTS. If size isn't a key factor, maybe play with a MTT while you wait for the 958 replacement.
The reality is that you aren't going to see any real difference between yours and a 14 and of those differences, they would cost far less to retrofit on yours than the depreciation hit you'll take. Or put some of that cash to some performance mods and yours will far out perform a stock TTS.
I do understand the new car itch though

Thanks guys....i absolutely appreciate the advice.
I fully agree with both of you...
My original intent was to wait until next fall for a 2015 CTT carryover.
The only thing fueling my itch to trade now is knowing they'll need close to 20% off in order to move it.
Regardless, a few days ago, I sent the salesperson a quick note explaining what i was considering.
IMO, I hold the upper hand...they need to sell their demo far sooner than i need to replace mine.
I can easily hold out another year, especially given the nice support I've received here to do just that.
Thanks again guys!
