P0455 - Cayenne S 2011 - 958 and coolant leak
Hi,
I know that we have members here that are mechanics and lots of great DIY people.
My car developed a P0455 ( Scanned with Piwis II ) - large leak ( no communication no signal )
I tested camshaft driven vacuum pump ( removed the rubber hose from small barbed fitting )getting good 25 in hg of vacuum. - so this appears to be fine?
Next I smoked the tiny hose going from pump ( barbed fitting ) and I’m getting tiny amount smoke at the back of intake and lot more coming from under the intake at the front of the engine. - is there an evap line under intake ? And smoke is travelling ?
another issue I’m getting some coolant smell … looks like I might have some leak under intake as well after scoping with camera…
( my bridge at the back is threaded, pipes at the thermostat housing are pinned )
Looks like I have to pull intake … I have done it before but wondering what other hoses … should I order any suggestions ?
thank you

I still have the issue. Somewhere I saw that it could be a bad Vapor Canister Purge Valve: 958 605 241 00 but no definitive answer.
I need to figure this out!

OK, I have some good news on this (I think). My 2011 S got to the point of having the Check Engine message pop up every time the car started and I was getting code P0455 as well. So I decided to take a flyer and replace the "AS Tank Ventilation" under the hood ($182 at Marin Porsche aka Sonnen). This is a part (# 948.110.020.13) comprised of hoses and a solenoid (I think) that runs from the front of the engine back to the firewall under the plastic engine cover on the passenger side, just above the spark plugs. Anyway, the job was not too difficult and it seems to have solved the problem! Fingers crossed that it stays that way.
