2012 Cayenne Coolant Leak
Just had this same problem 54,000 miles. The aluminum pipe/thermo housing is glued/cemented into the block and the cement failed. Porsche knows about this (the service tech said they're seeing this a lot on this generation of Cayenne). The next gen has a bolted on part.
$2,900 repair plus $800 towing.
Not happy.

Sounds like the same problem. Porsche coolant (or comparable coolant) is pink.
If you go to dealer, make a stink and have them get you some goodwill $ from PCNA. It's $2,900 fix. they have an upgraded part that bolts on now.
So sorry dude.

I got a bumper to bumper warranty, is it not covered by that?

Depends on who wrote the warranty..
If it's a Porsche CPO - they will likely cover it and apologize for the inconvenience to you. If it's aftermarket, there are usually "exceptions" to the B2B warranty - like for wear items. And bet you $0.05 that the warranty company will claim the fitting is a "hose" - therefore not covered since hoses are wear items.
Let us know how it works out.

Wow, I thought I dodged the coolant issue with my 12'. Guess not. I was fortunate enough to witness the coolant issue with my 06 Cayenne S.
Has anyone put together a repair or replacement kit for this or does Porsche now supply the bolt mod mentioned?

Warranty or dealer I bought it from covered a faulty "coolant distributor hose" so thats good I guess? Not exactly happy that I have a time bomb under my hood, or that I had to be seen in public in a RAV4 rental car I'm going to have to warranty this thing as long as I own it...

Hey everyone, had the same concern here in MN, got a coolant warning that went up and down. I added coolant and that 'seemed' to solve it. I'd like to watch out for the cracked pipes others have seen, any additional info would be useful. My Cayenne Turbo has 101K on her. Thanks!

Robare, As a general rule - you should never receive a coolant warning. Coolant isn't consumed. It can only leak. If the vehicle needs coolant on a regular basis then you have a leak. Leaks typically go one way - they get worse. Having one go really bad in the wrong location or circumstances can be injurious or fatal.
I'd be looking for where the leak is.
