Guys what you think of 1.5 bar of boost? Would it be fine? I heard somewhere we can do 18 psi which is 1.2 bar. My cayenne is doing 14 psi stock which translates to 7 psi per turbo. A bump from 7 to 9 doesn't seem too much but to 1.5 bar in total (11.5 psi per turbo is almost a 5 psi increase per turbo) which is 22 psi.

Awaiting for answers, will ship my ECU tomorrow to Austin @ Vividracing

The spring inside the turbocharger wont allow you more than 1.2 bar . 4 build until now and none of them is pushing more than 1.2

You mean the Wastegate? That's part of the mods also. Just trying to find a safe boost pressure not to break apart the engine. The Porsche tech told me to not go past 1.5 bar. What you think?

Yeah prety much 1.5bar is in the limit on 93 , on methanol you can push more all day

Engine lowered, pictures as promised

Hello friends just got my 958 CTT engine lowered for the mods. Here are the close up pictures as promised. The Turbines as said before by respectable members are the Mitsubishi TD04HL-18T which I'm upgrading along the cats that I will post pictures soon.

Also someone made more than 780hp with a panamera turbo with those turbos and was forced to detune it
Will a 22psi boost be ok (safe) with the tuning i'm planning? As you know i mentioned before that i'm upgrading my current 958 turbos to 20T which will hopefully be ready for tomorrow. The tune might be for Saturday-Sunday, until then i'm forced to use the 958 CTT on a light basis (no hard acceleration, etc.). I will try to upload a video of the sound as soon as i get the turbos and the cat's mounted, i'm sure that with an 11 blade turbide the turbo whine should increase

Hello guys again...

Well finally the turbos and cat's are back on the engine. I decided to go ahead and replaced my spark plugs and in the process we found that 6 of the 8 coils were cracked . I did felt a bit of a hiccup when building rpm and this really kills HP on these cars. On the dyno graph we did a friend of a friend which builds racing engines saw the graph telling me to change the spark plugs for new ones because I had a lot of spikes on the gas chart result. Well my tech friend already took cared of this BUT guess what, another thing had to be replaced and this is a MUST for anyone that hasn't done it yet especially if you're off warranty. I'm talking of the both Camshaft Adjusters which has aluminum bolts that break apart under heat and you'll have to replace the whole engine. Well thanks to my friend I got one free and with the ring bank adjuster I just replaced the bolts with steel ones (had to polish 1mm off the head because they over stood taller outside the edge). I saved $1000+ Aside from labor on these. I'll leave some more pictures. Anxious to listen to those modified turbos plus cat's and waiting for 12pm Et. Which is the time of the call to let me know the CTT is ready for pickup

Very good that you replaced the bolts . Everyday a cayenne or panamera brakes around the world for those defective bolts . I might replace mine as well . Would you mind telling me where did you buy the bolts ?

I got them from a local shop for free, they were roaming around. I can measure them for you if you want. What I don't know how to measure is the thread. I did all these because I was given one of the aluminum as a reference. You can try a check if your local dealer can get you a used one from the ones they've replaced, it'll be easier. As an advice get steel ones or stainless steel.

I gout it out last night at 8:35 ET.. Right now I'm swapping the Diverter valves myself.. Just putting the headlights back on... Only missing the ECU Custom flash which will be next week. The person that will do it it's busy today with a drag race.

Sadly I couldn't. Anyone with a 958 Turbo will not get more than 60-70 extra HP on a bench tuning or a piggy back. Until now no one has cracked the encryption on the Continental SDI8 ECU.

The CTT is running pretty fast compared to before. I haven't dyno tested it again. Last time on just filter, cat bypass and exhaust I managed 403 to the wheels. I think I might be around 430-440 on 100oct maybe I don't know.

I got a contact on a guy that can do the ECU, by installing a reprogrammable ECU and making the stock one SLAVE. That would require also a re wiring and maybe some new more powerful injectors. The problem is, he's asking for $3,000 LMFAO!!. But hey might not sound so crazy for 200HP+ right. He said I can achieve that and with 100 or 109 Oct pretty sure can put me on the lower 11's 1/4 mile LOL.

I'll maybe have a switch to turn that ECU on and off for street use and when I need the power just pump it up. He also told me I will have to live with the Check Engine line being ON because that on modded cars is normal.
