20" Rims would 275/55/20 tires work???
I have purchased rims that are 20" and normally go with the 275/40/20 size tires, but I see the Audi Q7 for 20"s uses 275/45/20. I have a 2008 Base Model Cayenne and I just want to make sure the wheel well is filled in nicely while still giving the car a good ground clearance.
Any input?
Thanks!
Mikhail.

The 275/40/20 - is the smallest overall tire combo available for the Cayenne. in fact is smaller than the 18" and the 19" wheels & tire combo. I regret that I didn't choosed the 45 version like the Q7 has.

Yes, while your speedo reads @ 60mph, the actual speed is 62.3mph.
I don't see as a big deal, which I'm planning to go with 275/45/20 when the time comes.

To answer the Original Posters question... no. I actually upgraded to 20" GTS style wheels and ordered the Yokohama Parada Spec-X tires in a 275/40/20 since that is the size Porsche recommends... they installed a set of 285/50/20 by mistake. It had a major clearance issue with the upper ball joint mount in the front. The tire ended up rubbing against the ball joint stud below the nut. They re-ordered the correct size (was a warehouse shipment mistake) and no more clearance issues with the 275/40/20. Obviously the 275/45/20 works as well since many people use it but I think going to a 50 series tire or bigger for the 20" wheels is not a good idea. Just an FYI

why would you use 265/50 - thats not recomended.
If I were you I would go for what you have first started for and that's 275/45/20.
I use this one:

my regrets are more about the potholes. here we have bumpy roads and sometimes I miss the 18" winter whells, or the former 19" summer wheels. though, I dont have air ride so that might explain part of that. and another thing is that I do like how the wheels look with the 45 cause it fills more of the wheel gap

you know that you have to post pictures of your truck with the 45's installed.
