How much did you pay?

Considering a 2012 Cayenne Turbo or possibly Turbo S
Wondered whether looking at a discount off MSRP or an amount over Dealer invoice is the better way to go.
Any experiences?

every dealer is different, some are willing to negotiate some not a chance.
Inventory isn't as high as it was and will continue to go down b/c of the amount of vehicles being sent to the US.
I would negotiate until you are happy with the price and keep the relationship open for future maint. or purchases.
I didn't get that much off mine when purchased, but I will use the same dealer again when I purchase my next Porsche b/c of how I was treated from day one.
I got $4K off of a $150K+ 2011 Cayenne turbo. Took delivery earlier this year.

Was at my dealer last night and there is no inventory. Only cayenne turbo was loaded at 131k and 5k was the most I can get off which I decided to wait since I didn't want a black car. Another dealer told me 2-3 k was the discount but I don't know them well.

I got $5000 off a V6 with a february production. The detail is that I ordered a Panamera GTS at the same time, for which I got 3% discount.

Sometimes dealer includes taxes along with M.R.P. There can be negotiation or bargaining with some dealers but many dealers dont concess even a single rupee. So, you have to select according to your choice & comfort.

my dealer knocked about $4k off of my V6, it was the only one they had in stock at the time and was a pre ordered customer car that the guy backed out of, i would have liked to have spec'd out my own car but waiting 4 months didn't sound appealing so i picked this one up and the 4k off helped ease the pain ;-)

Picked up a 12 Cayenne S in the bay area, and only got 1k off. Was on a time crunch, as i needed to purchase the vehicle by 12/31! But from what i've been told, really hard to get much off, max 3k at the right dealer. This is from a finance manager friend of mine at Porsche. Just couldnt work out a trade in time to get it from his dealership.

You are a perfect example of how ALL customers making a major purchase should be. Polite, understanding that everyone deserves to make a profit, and not basing your entire purchase only on $$$. Kudos to you my friend!

That's due to the taxes though, not so much the sticker of the vehicle. MSRP remains essentially unchanged.

Sorry about the gas prices though... *shrug*
