My new GTS build, new to forum...
My new GTS build. Anything I am missing that everyone here already knows about? Or am I getting anything stupid that doesn't belong? I also have a lot of questions I feel my dealer can't answer well.

overall looks like a great build to me...for me personally, i'd save the $ on the voice control, and probably the 6 disc changer....with the ipod and usb interfaces, and satellite radio, i rarely ever find myself listening to actual CDs. you could also add on the roof crossbars at any time later for basically the same upcharge from suncoast (but you definitely need the rails from the factory).
love the turbo II wheels, though didn't get them myself as i wanted something i could put winter or at least all season tires on. love the park assist and reverse cam as well...particularly nice in the ever smaller parking spaces. entry and drive is great too.
with the 4 zone a/c, any consideration of rear seat heat? i also found that i preferred the sport seats (similar to the GTS standard seats, but with a few more adjustments) but it's been pointed out in these forums many times that it is a very personal choice and you need to do a test sit before you order them. the 14 ways are quite comfortable in their own right.
i like the limited body roll with the PDCC as well, and threw PTV on the new one as well. i've also become a big fan of the adaptive cruise, as mine is my daily driver. whenever i drive my wife's touareg i find myself missing it.
i found it frustrating when trying to spec out a GTS that everything was a la carte, rather than some packages like the rest of the models.
can't wait to see pics when it arrives though. drive it in good health!

Here in the south heated seats won't be too useful. I only got 4 zone because my wife sits in the back when her tall father rides with us. My 4 zone is for her.
I havent sat in pure GTS seats. The GTS I test drove had the 14 way. My wife has 14 way too and I feel like they were made just for me. My legs are long so I like the seat base longer. I hate sitting in a lexus for that reason
I wanted to test drive PDCC and my dealer talked me out of it. He said I won't drive hard enough to get the benefit from it. My 2008 has either a lot of bodyroll, or road bounce. The 2013 GTS handles great without it so I didn't argue.
I will definitely take pics!

IMO, only thing missing is the GTS interior package in carmine. seen one and it looks fantastic.
If you are doing a red exterior (Beautiful color BTW), I would complete the sporty red theme inside too.
Other than that its a great build. well done.
Mr Porsche, Did you actually drove one? how do you compare the ride quality with the "Normal" Cayenne.

I got carbon fiber in an attempt to retain the sportiness inside. I thought it was a good comprimise. I also like anthracite but thought it needed the sportiness of carbon to maintain GTS spirit.

The S with air suspension and GTS with air suspension were similar.
Most of my S driving was in normal pasm mode, most of my GTS driving was in sport. An unfair comparison would be that the S was a little smoother, maybe bouncey over bumps in the uneven street cracks? And the GTS felt like it was lower, and glued to the ground like it were on roller coaster rails. Put the GTS in comfort mode and it was perfectly smooth. I really liked it, but I think all the cayennes in the 2013 with PASM and air would be quite the same. The GTS is noticably lower. .7" regulalry, and leave it in sport and it drops another inch. It almost becomes a CUV.
The noisey sports exaust was a nice novelty which is really enhanced in sport mode. But it back to comfort or normal and it sounds normal again. I think the loud noise and sputtering at the end of an exceleration is superficial and not linked to enhanced performance. Drag race and instantly letting off the gas leaves a sputter, crackle, or backfire if you will.
I didn't drive both on the same day.
I do have a 2008 cayenne.

^^^Hey thanks, glad to know it côuld be a comfortable DD aswell, I was a little worried due to the fact that 957 GTS has IMO a very jarring ride compared to a normal "S". Even though Magazine reviews are very favorable regarding the ride comfort, I need to hear some non-biased opinions.
Good point about about the interior, The carbon fiber inserts will do the job just fine. In our market the Alcantara GTS seats are STD equipment, you cant have the basic sport seats, The Carmine GTS interior package is definetely a pricey option but worth every cent in our case.
Good luck with your order and please post some pics as soon as you get it.

The 2013 GTS is much smoother than the 2008 Cayenne base. For 2013 GTS to S I am not too sure there is a large gap. They will think I am crazy if I keep going back to test drive the car I am not buying lol.
I contemplated the S quite a bit. I wanted the fender flares painted, the extended gas tank, and air suspension. That closed the gap between the S and the GTS quite a bit. Toss in a little more power, nicer rims, sports exhaust, and a bigger trade in value and the GTS seems like a better deal (if those things are desirable)

I just got screwed out of red!!!!!
Bad News. They have stopped production on Carmine Red for the GTS. Not sure what the details are and I am trying to find out. I checked on your build and noticed the color changed to black. Looked into it more and discovered this order was kicked out even though it was entered right before the policy change.
I have contacted my Porsche rep to see if anything can be done.
Let me know what you want to do.

Problem Solved. My dealer was able to save my build and I will have one of the last (if not the last) Carmine Red GTS's. I can't make any changes and that pushed my car from October delivery up to late Novermber/December delivery.
