Any such thing as a Cayenne "hack"
My Cayenne is pretty much bone stock. I know in some cars, even though the option is not ordered, it is still incorporated in the car and might only need a switch.
Example Toyota FJ Cruiser A-Trac. All FJs have A-Trac if you pay for the option you get the switch. or you don't pay for the option and buy a 25.00 switch and get the expensive option.
I have the stock radio. It has a bluetooth option on the screen but no bluetooth function. I wonder if it is there and there is a hack to get it .
Anyone out there who can help /
Thanks

Porsche has a long history of not wiring for things you didn't order (and sometimes for the things you did order...). I'm sure there might be a few minor things, but I wouldn't count on anything big.
For your BT it might be a simple update to your PCM that needs to happen, but those post production upgrades usually cost as much if not more than ordering it with the option.
Edit: I see from your other thread that we are talking about a 958. I thought all of them came with BT enabled. If you are seeing the option on the PCM then you should have it. I'd verify that with your dealer.

+1... saves costs and weight. Even though the cost savings may not be passed on directly to consumers, both things are good and efficient.

It doesn't save enough weight to have any significant impact on something like a Cayenne. A GT3 that is preped for the track, sure. A big 6000lb beast, not so much.
As far as the cost, it actually tends to cost the MFGs more to have multiple different wiring harnesses rather than a one size fits all. The raw materials may cost a bit more, but you have the reduced cost of only needing one type of wiring loom and one set of wiring diagrams.
