Sign of cardan shaft going bad or something else?

2005CTT
Was driving 13mph stuck on fwy and the car started to wobble/rocking like a boat as I slowly accelerate. I can feel the whole car wobble at low speed i.e 10-13mph. At 60mph I don't feel it. When slow down to a complete stop sometime I get a small thunk. No banging from center console. Anyone experienced this on their Cayenne? Could it be my wearing front tires? It never happen before even with the wearing tires. Any suggestion would help. Thanks.

Sounds like the center support bushing for the cardan shaft. I have had two personally go bad on me. How many miles on your pig?

Checked everything under the lift and all are good. Cardenas shaft is solid & original. I found the problem. My rear left tire that has 50% tread developed blisters the size of my two hands like a mountain valley. I was fortunate it did not blew up on my way home. Car has 108K mi

Tread doesn't always mean anything. How old are the tires?

Tires are two years old. Center treads looks average in depth. Inner side treads are worn. I'm getting new wheels and tires this Friday. Will post pictures of tire with blister once I have the new wheels.
