Warranty options?

Hello

Almost at 50K miles and looking to buy an extended warranty.
Seems like we have had a lot go wrong with the car than expected. Thankfully the current warranty covered it. So I'm wondering what other options are out there that are good warranty extensions to buy, and not a rip off.

Thanks

I don't have one on the CTT but I've had them in the past. Just be sure you read the fine print and understand exactly what it covers and how much. Also look at deductibles.

I don't even have any policies to go over yet as I asked on the forum for recommendations. I wouldn't know where to start and don't want to get scammed, that's why I was asking on here for recommendations first.

I don't remember the names of the ones I had but actually had a couple of them pay off. My advice would be to shop around but make sure you are comparing policies that cover the same things.

Here's a place to start maybe....

I am in the same boat and have read horror stories of some of the aftermarket warranties.

Does anyone have experience with a "volume" sells kind of guy who works for Porsche that just gives no hassle good deals? Please PM me.

I'd rather spend an extra thousand to buy from Porsche for peace of mind that if I take my car to the dealership, they will fix it and not have to send adjusters, inspectors, lawyers, and a whole team for each fix.

Don't have, but I always heard good things about the services of Fidelity and USAA.

it seems like most of the warranty companies are really the same company with different names. I think they/it is in st louis. I used to have a Warranty Direct one on my audi. It did pay, but not what the dealer wanted. The audi dealer had one maintenance time book that they would bill Audi, and one time for customer paid. The job times are different. Warranty Direct would only pay the Audi paid times. With Warranty Direct the difference was hundreds every time. It was still better than paying myself, and if i knew a reasonable independent it might have been closer. What really surprised me was when you trade a car in, the warranty is ended. When you sell to an individual the warranty transfers. When I traded my car in I got about $1000 back. So for me and my maintenance pig Audi the warranty was a big win for me. But I still had to pay hundreds each time the car with the zero deductible warranty went to the dealer.
