So I just recently just changed my starter and after getting all put back together, the car just cranks and will not turn over and start. Did I miss something.

 

If it cranks it’s turning over. If it’s not turning over; I thought new starters came with a new solenoid. If you used the old solenoid look there first. To run the motor needs air, spark and fuel, check there isn’t a kill switch somewhere in the ignition circuit that prevents the engine from running normally when the hood is open or removed. Hopefully someone more knowledgeable than I will chime in.
