Reputable Porsche shop in Chicago
Hey Guys - I should be taking delivery of my 996TT in a day or two and was wondering where everyone goes for their work. I know about Fall-Line Motorsports in Northbrook, but I was just wondering if there were any Porsche specific shops.
Thanks
Dan

Steve and the Fall Line crew will take good care of you, but if you're looking for a Porsche specific shop, it doesn't get any better than Sol Snyderman at Perfect Power

Thanks guys - I think I'll end up seeing Sol and the folks at Perfect Power. I talked to him and he answered all of my questions in extensive detail. It helps that they are only 20 minutes away too.

I highly recommend CPT at Melrose park, they did all the work on my 996tt and 2 other friends cars. PM me if you have any further questions about car /upgrades etc. My research shows that Perfect Powers labor rates are much higher than other Indy shops.

I'll second the vote for CPT in Melrose Park. They've done great work for me on both my 996 and M3. Very easy to get to from the city.
That said, you can't go wrong with Perfect Power. A couple PCA club racer friends of mine use Sol exclusively. A little pricey, but great work. It's really a mater of convenience for me.

I highly recommend Fluidmotorunion (www.fluidmotorunion.com). They work on all my cars and I find them to be highly capable, honest, and certainly beats dealers, especially if you want to modify your car.

+1 For Fischer Imports in Barrington. They have done everything form oil changes to brake fluid flushes to the install of Kevin's Stage 2 kit ( turbos, injectors, fuel rails, plugs etc) on my car plus Sachs clutch/LWFW, Evoms clutch accumulator, Europipe, alignment - all turned out great. Reasonable prices too.

Midwest Eurosport
I've taken all my Porsches (carreras to turbos) to Eurosport located on Irving Park Road in Bensenville. They do a great job and are reasonably priced and are strictly Porsche. They do everything for your car and can provide mechanic and pit crew if you decide to track. Plus they are a bunch of good guys.
