Holy crap, is that from a dyno mishap? I'm still waiting to hear from Harv about what he found out from DynoJet.

OK I just got word from Harvey who just got off the phone with the owner of Dyno Dynamics. HE CAN DO PORSCHE TURBOS!!!! He said its a little more difficult but he said he can do it for sure. I didn't really understand what he said but it had something to do with a "learning mode" or something like that. With that said, I want to see all of you there!

Well I doubt it. Dyno can do either front, rear or all wheel drive cars but then again I dont know how they work. Harvey said they 996TTs and Turbos in general have nothing to worry about.

I'm on the phone with Harvey right know and he said that the front and back are not mechanically linked. Everyone is safe to run on this dyno so I better see you there!

Unless you are willing to buy a new front diff when it destroys it?

Hi all, this is Harvey.
I am sorry you were unable to reach us at Super. I am a part time employee, but will be returning to full time status by next week.
I had a hard time myself getting in touch with the guys from Dyno Dynamics as they were having fun at SEMA last week. But Terry MacDonald, the owner, sent me detailed instructions on setup for the 996. He stated that all of them may be different despite being apparently the same car. I was willing to go that route, but.............
Autosport Werks is renting the dyno for a few days and they have brought a very experienced Audi/Porsche tuner from Connecticut (finally a chance to spell that) with them, they are currently at over 480 WHP on a nice audi wagon with twin GT28 Garrett turbochargers. He has tuned and dyno tested the 996, he suggests that we remove the driveshaft, he says it is the easiest way and completely safe for the 996. I will personally mark the index position of your driveshaft and properly torque all bolts upon reassembly. But I understand for those of you who are cautious.
Feel free to personally call me 9-5 with questions on my cel phone 303-579-8830. I am an experienced standalone tuner who can calibrate about anything. My background is in the V8 world with mopars, but I have tuned hundreds of turbocharged Subarus and Mitsubishi vehicles. My own wagon was running a 12.28@114 mph at Bandimere, and our shop car pulled off a 10.91 @ 131 mph this year at Bandi.
P.S. I just got my own six-speed for my ride too.

Hey Harvey...thank you for your reply. Yes I knew the front drive shaft would need to be removed once I saw the earlier post. So are you saying you are willing to disconnect the front shaft and replace as well? That is a deal!
