Dyno Day (11.15.08)

My buddy may bring the new GT-R too if he doesn't go out of town.

I certainly am. I don't think the turnout will be too big and we have all day to play. Besides, it only takes 15-20 minutes each way to do the shaft. I will try to get the torque specs for the shaft, but you guys can too. I have a nice low lift we can use and will have them show me the lift points tomorrow. I may even call Gebhart myself in case I get a hold of a freindly.

Like Bill, if the safety of my 996tt's awd is assured I'm in for $50. but I will need either Bill or Chris(D33PBLUE) to run the car on the dyno, unless, the shop does this, since I cannot use my right foot right now.
#35
I think the shop does not want anyone near the cars...for safety reasons!

the one down in woodbridge, VA use to run the cars themselves. But I will be there to watch for sure. I have heard that the only true mechanically linked dyno is the mustang and I do not feel like having my car in pieces. besides it will slow the entire process down with a bunch of 996tt's having their front ends disconnected.

Hey man, I assume you didnt get the new car yet? What time are you free saturday? I imagine you could come by at any time before 5 or so. Harv will be able to answer this better though.

There isn't going to be anything to watch if people only go to watch. I think dave is bringing his two cars but other then that, I dont know of anyone who is coming for sure.

I'll bring the popcorn if someone else brings the beer

Dumb question but are they going to put the correction factor to sea level because most of the Dyno's around here are set at 18-23% showing what you would have if at sea level.
I will try to come up and check it out.
