Thumbs up

hey mike thanks for the pics. i live in south africa too, in the randburg area where abouts do you live cos i think i saw your spyker at harties over the weekend.

anyway just to add , this is not the first koenigsegg in africa, 3 were brought in privately a couple years back, i have personally seen one, it was in that same lime green that the murcis come in.

yeah i think this is lollys car together with the zonda, their is apparently quite a few orders for the koenigseggs coming in. i saw a new rolls drophead over the weekend in durban, didnt even know they were available yet, are you getting one mike?

their is a guy in alberton who owns a maclaren f1 lm together with about 60 different porsches in a warehouse, incidently this same guy also owns jean alessi f1 car. sorry if i am rambling on just want people to know that their are exotics in SA, cos i always get asked are their roads there and do you have a lion as a pet, i mean come on how ignorant can you be, we sell the 3rd most aston martins in the world and are in the top 10 for most other exotic car companies

thanks again for the pics mike cheers everyone

Hi CSL,

Yes I live in JHB and CPT. You sure it was me you saw in the Spyker?
I heard rumours of a Koenigsegg a year or two back but never saw one in person - so I had just assumed that they were rumours. You know how people gossip

We have 3 allocated for the year and 2 have been sold (including the car you see now). They are doing extremely well as they are selling for almost 2 million dollars US at current exchange rates. (That's the equivalent of 11 Audi R8's local prices)

The drophead was launched here in November last year already. I think we have around 3-4 in the country already.

The guy with the McLaren F1 lives between here and the States. Half the year he's there and the other half here. He was at a track day with his F1 three years back. I won't say his name, but I'm sure a few of you here already know who he is.

I agree, everytime I go overseas and they find out I'm from SA, I get the same lions in backyard questions. Do they know we have the oldest Ferrari Club in the world?

Feel free to ask more questions.

Hi Shawn,
It is an option - I guess the owner thought it looked better without the wing?

E92 M3's cost $110,000 USD over here. The Koenigsegg is just just under 2 million dollars. 430's cost about 500,000 USD here. You get the picture

The dealership you saw in Cape Town was Bloomsburys?

The shifter and Dash look so tacky in the car...it almost looks fake....the AC Controls and what not.
