I (heart) DI Water :)
Man I love this stuff.
I got a big blue resin container chock full of DI resin. It is so much better than using regular water. I still like to wipe the car down lightly, but what used to take me two big blue MF's and about 5 regular MF's, now only takes me the two big blues. I've been using DI water in my fish tank for years now, but this is my first experiment with it on my car. I pretty much just wipe the horizontal spots down and leave the vertical panels to dry on their own. And even then I just pretty much mop up the puddles on the horizontal panels. Two thumbs up for DI water. Clean, shiny, no spots. I'm convinced my car actually gets cleaner with less work as well. I've used DI water from my tank water on clothing stains and it's amazing how this stuff just sucks up dirt and pulls it away. Seems as though when I have washed with DI it takes less effort. Who knows? Could be in my head.
Now tomorrow I am going to try out this ridiculously expensive black fire wax I bought yesterday. The wax actually comes in a little briefcase.
I've been using rejex for a long time and it's a major plus how long it lasts. However, it sucks as far as shine goes. The paint doesn't have any depth and certainly doesn't come anywhere close to the wet look. We'll see how this caranuba wax product turns out. I am guessing the shine will be much better but that I will be doing it again in two months.

Well, it's a 3 hour ride from here to Daytona so there is no telling what it will look like by the time I get there. I figured it was due for it's semi annual bath anyway. Remember, it's a GT3 stompin' work horse, not a show pony

GT3 stomping LOL.
Let's find a good driver (IE Viperbob who is an instructor and has owned 911 race cars before) to drive your car and have somebody in a GT3 that knows how to drive one (Say Max) and have them go around for 5 hot laps at Sebring. I have $100 that says the GT3 is ahead (By a significant amount) at the end of the 5 laps. You are always underestimating the GT3. I wish I was in FL.

I've heard great things about pinnacle, but after seeing that guy's eclipse, I just had to try it. I'm finally quitting my Rejex addiction and going backk to waxes It lasts forever, but it really lacks in shine and depth. I don't mind reapplying more often if it gets me the look I'm shooting for. Not to mention this thing is a garage queen, so I should get more mileage out of a caranuba product than your average daily driver.
