Great work Moe, that's the way cars are supposed to get started. I don't know why dealerships can't treat cars with the same TLC that we all do?

Thanks Naoto. I just hope these threads inform the consumer and raise awareness of proper car care. A lot of $$ is spent on these cars and proper car care is just as important as a good mechanical care.

 

Time and $$ my friend. I ask the same question whenever I'm at each dealership. I talk to the detailers there all the time and they want to do the same work, but the economics don't make sense. The dealer just want these units to move out so another can come in. A revolving door so to speak.

 

^^ All that we can really try to do, as an industry, is increase the awareness of the common practices of the dealerships. If we can make the customer more aware of what their car should look like upon delivery, we can slowly start to make the dealerships focus more on quality than quantity.

 

Moe - The spray on wheel wax works just as good as other conventional wheel wax? I like the idea of spray-on and walk away.

 

Wheel Coat is not a miracle product that will prevent brake dust 100%. With that said, it will do an excellent job of bringing out the shine and depth in painted wheels. If you have chrome, polished wheels, or black painted wheels, you will see a little spotting as the wax dries. But, for most, considering the few seconds it takes, it's a great product and does what it's suppose to. You CAN tell a difference between wheels that have wheel coat on them when it comes time to wash and rinse the wheels. For something with greater dust repeltion, not sure if that's a word, try Rejex. It takes about 20 minutes a wheel, but it lasts a while. But like I said, you cannot beat the time and little effort it takes to use wheel coat spray.

 

very nice!!!now that you mention it, I do realize more swirls in my paint after I let the dealer wash it for free.

 

Sometimes the washes may seem free on the surface, but are quite costly when you find out the extent of the damage that's done. The problem is most consumers have no idea what their paint SHOULD look like. Not many have seen a car with little to no swirls, scratches, halogramming. I'm hoping these threads raise awareness and educate.

Thanks, Moe. I may try Rejex every six months and Zymbol once a month in between.

 

I used 3 coats of Rejex back in March and use Zymol Wheel Coat after washing with Zymol Wheel Gel. I think it is a great combination. The difference Zymol Wheel Coat makes isn't huge, but it is noticeable.

 

It's the zymol wheel brush.

 

You're welcome Maison. It'll take a little while because you have to let the rejex cure for 20 min. before wiping it off. But the results will be worth it. 3 applications over a 3 week period should be great. Then maintain with wheel coat.

 

Wheel Coat just gives the wheel a pop and is the easiest way to add a little protection. As you mentioned, the result is subtle but noticeable.
