Cyclo Orbital Polisher?

Does anyone have opinions or experience with this polisher? It's fairly unique because it had two smaller random heads versus just one head...

We've been using them for the last 15 years and absolutely love them. Quick learning curve, well balanced (unlike the single head orbitals) and versatile. With the brushes, we use them to shampoo mats and carpets. And BTW, they're bulletproof.

I've had one for 12 years. Very sturdy and easy to use. Would buy again if I had to.

We have two, and they're great. We do use our rotarys every day, and the cyclo comes out of the closet once a week or so. For most details, we find the rotary will produce better results, if the car is in excellent condition and has a soft clearcoat, the cyclo will suffice.

I use a makita rotary, flex 3401 random orbital and a cyclo. For serious correction work the obvious winner is the rotary but honestly a cyclo can really do some nice correction work when you need it to, using the right pad and polish of course. The thing I like about the cyclo is that you can really lay on the pressure when you need to achieve a deeper cut for correction, and it so easy to use, even one handed. If I could ONLY have 2 machines I would take the rotary and cyclo, I barely use my flex anymore, still a great machine but I like my cyclo better. Another advantage about the machine is that the two 4" heads cover a larger surface area when polishing (8" total), compared to using a 6.5" pad or so on a flex or rotary. I very rarely use anything larger than 6.5" on my makita. I use the gloss it polishes which were deigned around the cyclo and for a lot of my 1 step polish details I will use the cyclo just so I dont have to worry about any hologramming on softer paints.

It's all I use and I love mine. If you are a beginner it can't be beat because you can't wreck your paint with one. One thing I love is that it can be used with one hand and won't make your arms go to sleep. Check some of my work out with just a Cyclo and Gloss-It polishes:

I've never used one but I hear rave reviews about it. I think it's one of the oldest polishers ever made going back to the 50s. It's in the hands of some of the best detailers in this country. That should be a testimonial on its own.

I've opted for the FLEX by choice. Just like how I like using a Makita rotary and someone else swears by a DeWalt. Personal choice and see what works for you.

Why not a PC

Because the PC will not correct paint near as well as a cyclo or Flex, as I saw someone post one time the PC is a toy and a Cyclo or Flex is a real paint correcting tool.

Also the PC vibrates a ton, the new cyclos with the vibration eliminating counterweights are quite smooth.

I corrected this Toyota M2R turbo last nigh using the cyclo for 90% of the body

This was done with 2 passes using orange cutting pads on the cyclo, normally Toyota pain is pretty soft but this car was repainted and had about 225microns of paint... thats well over 100micros over the standard clear coat. I really laidd on the pressure with the cyclo to polish out the deeper swirls and scratches.
