wet look without too much work

i like to wash my car every week and only drive it at the weekend, assuming its sunny, the car has no swirls, very few minor scratches, the paint is in very good shape in my opinion. I would like to find a good one step product to give it a nice wet look, maximum shine possible without leaving any white residue, so a clear product would be nice so i dont have to spend 2 hours masking off my car (just spent 3 hours yesterday removing white residue from all the rubber and trim, left by the previous owner for me, 3 hours very well spent, car looks much better) i would like something i can apply by hand and buff by hand as i dont have a flex and dont really plan on going that far with my detailing. Its arctic silver.

i read about 30 pages of the detailing section yesterday but couldnt find anything that sounded like it fits the bill

does anyone have any suggestions ? (other than stop being lazy and buy a flex)

I have not used this product line myself, but Blackfire has a product called Wet Diamond that supposedly gives a great wet look.

You could try Blackfire as previously mentioned. Other choices are Wolfgang sealant, Chemical Guys Jetseal, Duragloss 105, 1z Glanz, or Zaino. Any of those sealants will do what you're asking for.

As for waxes, Pinnacle Souveran Paste or Signature Series II, and Swissvax. You've got a ton of choices.

that sounds like what i am looking for, i want to wash my car them spray and wipe something to make it shiny, i dont want to have to worry about getting it on the rubber or trim and dont want to have to spend hours buffing and polishing

i've been using the adams QD but wanted to find something which would give more of a shine

I use Optimum Car Wax - spray on and wipe off after washing. Very easy and quick.

Ahh, so you just want a spray wax and or sealant. Well for spray sealants you've got Zaino Z8, and Blackfire Deep Gloss Spray. For a spray wax there is Pinnacle Souveran spray. The only problem with those is they dont offer much in terms for durability. Those sprays are usually used after you've applied a wax or sealant.

I think you'd be happy with the Zaino Z8.

Get the Metallic Polish Wax from einszett and their spray wax....the polish/wax combo works great and won't leave any residue. Use their Perls shampoo as your was and their spray wax and you'll be spending more time driving than shinning up the car The durability is quite good considering how little time you'll be spending actually using the products. The einszett line is from Germany and is probably one of the best understated lines in car care.

Prima Hydro works really well. It gives a nice slick feel, and looks very nice.

AMEN AMEN AMEN!!!

I'm really pleased with the Hydro as well. I just spray it on as I am drying the car with a waffle weave towel and it really gives a great gloss!

I have Optimum Opti Seal and I absolutely love it. I get overspray on the trim and things and it is not a problem. It leaves a really good shine and best of all it only takes about 10 minutes a month to reapply. Although I usually apply every month it seems to last for 2-3 and my car sits outside.

Prima Hydro is awesome. Gives a very nice look and is so easy to use. I love the entire Prima line.
