How Much Is Too Much?

Since buying some primo goodies from Moe I've been washing and waxing the heck out of my new '09 C2 Cab. Other than my kids cracking jokes about waxing the paint off and my neighbors wondering what kind of lunatic they live next to; what other dangers (if any) are there to waxing every weekend?

I'm using non-synthetic wax if it matters.

You won't wax your clearcoat off, not to worry. It's pretty crazy how addictive it can be to detail cars to perfection.

Wow that's a lot of acronyms! What is a quality (and bad quality) applicator? They all look alike to me. Which one should I buy? And what in the world does "MF", "WW", "DD", and "SW" mean?

A good closed cell FOAM applicator. MF = Micro Fiber, WW = Waffle Weave and DD= Detailers Domain. DD is Phil's place. He's on 6 Speed and delivers awesome CS...Customer Service!!

If its not abrasive, you won't do any damage no matter how much you wax it.

You shouldn't really have to wax your car weekly. I think you bought Swissvax saphir from us. That can be applied once every 3 months for proper protection. If you want to wax weekly, use Swissvax Nano Express or einszett Spray wax. This way you're not spending hours polishing and waxing.

Where are those pictures you're suppose to post ??

Sorry to hear that bro. I know a few people, including myself, that are no longer doing business with Zymol. Sad to see what they're doing to themselves and those that care about the brand.

And, I truly get their program. But, I have to say, customer service had been getting pretty bad with Zymol anyway. If I can deal directly with guys like you and Phil, I would just as soon keep the money in the industry.

This is why forums are such a great tool to help companies that are doing good for the community and for those that aren't. I thought it would be tough for me to switch to Swissvax and didn't know how my clients would react after 13 years of using zymol. To my satisfaction, none of them cared. They were using Glistening Perfection because of me and my company culture. That goes to show, you build a company on a solid foundation based on customer service, hard work, and ethics, and you can weather any storm. I appreciate your forthcoming and further appreciate your support and keeping your business with guys like me and Phil. It's this loyalty that helps small guys like us grow to become larger companies to serve you better.

Three times in one year....YIKES! I still have mine and it's been four years. I didn't use it on every car, only the higher-end details. I probably got a few hundred applications from the original jar. Maybe that's why they confiscated your jar. IMHO, they should have refunded you back your money, or some of it. It's like you buying a car, and then the manufacturer takes it back.
