Any tips on removing a clear bra?

Hey guys,

I'm new to the forum, I got a 90's mercedez that has a clearly warn out clear bra that needs to come off. Any tips on how to get them to come off easily? I've never done one before.

It's not an easy job, especially if it's 3M. You will want to heat the film, using a heat gun to start, and pull the film off. You want to stretch the film off, not overlapping if you know what I mean. Using a steamer is the best once the film has started peeling. Afterwards you will want to take some 3M adhesive remover to remove any residual adhesive. Be sure to inspect the mask first, and make sure the installer didn't leave any cuts in the paint, which can cause the paint to peel off with the clear mask during removal.

What do you do from peeling the paint off if there are cracks in the paint? Is there anything you can do or just tell the customer that's a risk that they take.
