Gritty ZYMOL GlASUR Wax

My $100 dollar ZYMOL wax has become gritty. Whats going on? any way to heat and remix it or is it spent?

Regards,
GG300

How long have you had it?

How has it been stored?

What do you mean by gritty?

Pictures would be great.

Hi Moe,
I have the wax for apx. one and a half years. Stored in its org container with the rubber seal intact. It was in my garrage for part of the winter. Exposed to some cold temps , 30-40 degrees Fahrenheit.Half of it I have used. When new I would apply with a red foam applicator, nice and smooth to the paint. Now when the wax is applied from the applicator to the paint, as the emulsifiers in the wax transfer from the foam bonnet to the paint I am left with dry carnuba on the foam pad. In the container the wax has a sandy look and has softened in its texture, more like a soft paste.Something has caused the wax too change. Please note, the wax has not scratched the paint it just has become gritty and lost its solidity.I am using up way too much wax . Tomorrow I will call ZYMOL and get an RA# Lets see what they have to say.

THAT stinks. It must not be temperature-tolerant. It would be a shame to have to toss such an expensive wax. I'll cross my fingers that they can come up with a cure for you. [bake at 300 degrees for 30 minutes... ]
