Cleaning and Washing Seatbelts

I researched cleaning seatbelts here and on Renntech and I just wanted to show my results. I used warm water with Woolite laundry detergent and a large sponge to wash the belts. However, this did not remove the black grime that was ground into the belt.

So, I found some OxyClean spot remover for spot treating clothes before washing. I applied this directly to the belt and worked it in with a toothbrush. This worked well and removed the bulk of the black grime.

I then added OxyClean laundry detergent to the warm water and washed them again with the large sponge. They were wet, so I wasn't sure how great they would look. After drying, I found they looked very good, but still not brand new. However, I am satisfied and will not need to replace the belts. Feel free to ask for further details. Here are some before and after photos.

They look really good. Nice to see you're bringing life back into your Christmas present. What have you done to the paint so far?
