GP Automotive Renewal Service - Porsche Carrera GT
It's always a treat when a client calls you, let's you know about a car in his collection, and basically wants a service that enhances a car already amazing, to another level. We got a call from such a client and were told a CGT would be showing up at our door step by the end of day. So, sit back, grab some snacks, and follow us on our journey:
Cleaning Process:
Never was a big fan of the greasy tire dressing look
Foam is actually a citrus-based auto wash that is a pre-clean to an actual wash. A wash before a wash
Very little precaution is necessary on newer engine compartments. Just consult your owner's manual or a specialized technician. In this case, we simply covered the intakes to not allow water inside
A unique polishing soap from Germany safely and effectively cleans the bare metal inside these tips
As any of you that are a family business can relate to, one of the best surprises is when your kids can come hang out with you. My daughter is my best employee in training. She loves and bubbles and couldn't resist
Washmitt is rinsed after cleaning each panel from top to bottom. This assures no contaminants are introduced back into the clean soap bucket
You can see those little hairline scratches in the paint surface around the sun reflection. It's actually in the clearcoat
Look at 4 or 5 o'clock around the sun reflection. Notice how it's not a clear reflection, rather lots of small little lines
Now notice around 12 and 6 o'clock around sun reflection. Those are sand marks during the paint finishing process from factory
Look at patch around 5 o'clock around sun reflection. Those aren't clouds in the sky. It's more sand marks just different area of hood
We used a unique polisher that safely eliminates all imperfections from clearcoat surface while not damaging the surface. The process is very time consuming, but safety and consistent result is the goal
Anything that can be removed either for safety of the part or for ease of technician access for proper results, is done
Polish dust is a by-product of the countless hours of using various polishes and polishing pads. The vehicle gets another bath after this process is complete
Experience allows us to be able properly and systematically remove parts, catalog them, and replace them without damaging anything or losing anything
Proper precautions were taken prior to polishing interior carbon fiber
Porsche uses a unique tape for the contact between carbon fiver and seat back protector and floor mats. We not only taped up to protect the contact point, but notice the bottom of roll bars that are taped to protect leather from polishing

A cutting-edge nano sealant from Germany is applied to all interior carbon fiber
Pre-wax cleanser is applied prior to multiple layers of wax hand applied over a few days. The unique carnauba look achieved by Zymol Royale, makes it one of the world's most expensive wax
All-Natural Lumiere leather cleaner used to prepare for deep conditioning
Once Leatherique Rejuvenator Oil is applied lovingly by hand, it is then allowed to penetrate the hide. This process takes several days and several applications. We made a make-shift sauna for these seats in our restroom
After three days and almost 50 hours of sauna treatment, notice how plump the crest looks and how evident the grain of the leather is
Oil removed and a satin and clean leather is left behind. This process will protect this leather and keep it nourished for a long time. All it requires is a periodic hydration
Multi-step process removes old contaminants and products from rubber compound and a water-based protectant is applied to allow the natural look of the tires to come through. The result is a satin sheen, not a glossy mess. After this process, you can run your hands on the tires and no black will transfer
Using a finish restorer polish, the exposed aluminum lettering on engine is hand polished to bring out brilliance and remove oxidation
Couldn't resist. A few clients showed up to check things out. Seems to be happening more and more. We love it

If you've made it this far, thank you for the time to check out what we do and love. This service is something a professional specialist can only aspire to and dream of as a result of years of dedication to the art of detailing. We feel this level of work surpasses detailing and is Automotive Renewal. The concept is to take you back to the first moment when this car was created, when it was pure.
At the end, we spent hundreds of man hours, several late nights that turned into the next morning, but it was all worth it. The way cars touch our lives, the way they effect our emotions and evoke feeling that take us to the past, present, and future, it's only fitting a service such as this exists for the enthusiast demanding perfection.
This project allowed us to push ourselves beyond our normal limits and achieve something as noteworthy as this engineering marvel we call Porsche Carrera GT.

Great question Joe. We trap our water and dispose of it in the plants instead of letting it go down drain water and into the ocean.

CGT does get driven, but not much. I believe there's less than 400 miles on it. Which makes our job harder since the expectation of improvement is higher. But, it all worked out.

Would you mind walking me through this process? Or letting me know which products were used. I too hate the high gloss tire dressing and typically do not add any product to the tires.
