Cleaning 997 dash?

Before the flames start, I did search...

What are people using to clean the plastic/vinyl (i.e. not full leather) dash and doors in the 997? I used to use Meguiar's vinyl wipes on my S2000 with good results. When I tried it on the S4, it looked horrible. Any suggestions?

Also, what leather cleaner/conditioner do most of you use? Same thing - I used to use Meguiar's leather wipes with pretty good results, but I don't feel like experimenting in my 997S.

Thanks in advance for your help!

I have full leather and it sounds bad but I use a slightly damp cloth to dust it. I hate it when products leave a sheen on leather.

That's what I've been doing so far, too (for both the seats and the dash). I plan on keeping this car for a long time, so it never hurts to condition the leather.

Anyone else with suggestions?

I think a Porsche should have the "flat" look you guys are talking about. As far as a cleaner goes, Autoglym interior cleaner is excellent. I've been using it for 12 years as a cleaner. It's great on carpets, vinyl, and leather. For vinyl and leather, dilute 1:1. As far as leather and vinyl conditioner, zymol is the clear choice for me. The products are natural and don't leave any smells behind. Both the leather and the vinyl will exhibit a very subtle sheen; more like a silk look. Zymol Vinyl for vinyl and Zymol Treat for leather. The best part is maintanance. All you do is dust weekly or a few times a month depending on how often you drive. Here's a tip. Spray a little of the quick detailer type product on a microfiber towel so it's slightly damp to do you dusting. It's better than water. I was at a client's house yesterday and I did his 997S 6 months ago. The interior still looked good. Granted, he doesn't drive it daily, but you can get away with conditioning every 3-4 mnth depending on your care. Here's a pic of a 993 interior. I'll post a few more 996 nd 997.
