Question Clay question.

Does claying remove the wax? In other words, if I clay a small area of my car' do I have to apply wax to it afterwards or just a quick wipe with a detail spray?
TIA

It depends on the wax. If a polymer like rejex that actually molecularly bonds to the clear, then no. You need a product to "crack" the polymer or silicone. If a simple carnauba like p21s or zymol, maybe. Claying is merely taking off the impurities in the finish like sap, light oxidation, fallout, etc. You should polish after claying and then wax. Also, there are different qualities and grits of clay. My favorite right now is the Sonus Extra Fine; very gentle and great for DIY detailer. For something slightly more aggressive, not by much, use Zymol Lehm Klay or Clay Magic blue. Hope this helps.

My bad. I didn't polish yet but did wax. Should I now strip off the wax, polish than wax? Or is it ok to just put the wax on?

You definitely need to polish. It's the polishing that's going to clean and rejuvenate the paint. The wax will protect all the preceding steps. So clay, polish, and then wax.
