Trying to increase profits? No other car make has such huge markups.. Granted they don't sell 1,000,000 cars like Toyota - - but please, NO SUV!
Painting the lower panels might be too much to ask for if they're set on making top $$$...

The company doesn't make any money off the huge markups, only the original buyer and consigning dealers do.

While an SUV from sister firm Maserati was planned, bosses have shelved that idea in favour of a Ferrari 4x4 with a higher price tag. Buyers will be asked to pay well in excess of £100,000. If the F151 gets the go-ahead, the Ferrari will be revealed in concept form in 2010 before going on sale a year later.[/quote]
I had seen an artical from someone else putting it in the 250k Euros. Even the $200k Plus US talked about above would be a little steep to get people to bite I would think.
Porsche's remain to be the number one profit maker in the car industry because they do diversify. 6000 cars a year for Ferrari just keeps their pricing high for lack of cars.
