360s here in Kuwait are anywhere between $65k-$80k, depending on model year and mileage. There was a 2002, 6 speed with only 8,000km in mint condition that was sold for $85k last year.

Good deal indeed. Formula 1 is always low, I was looking at a pristine 2001 360 being sold, 6spd they said service was done for 110 and this was over 6 months ago, 14k miles! Only thing is they couldn't povide owner/service history for me and then stopped contacting me back :/

One should not buy by price alone!

You need to know what services have been perfomed on that car. $85K is very low and it may indicate issues there.

Carbon fiber is great cosmetically but does nothing mechanically for the car!

Find out how much life is on that clutch, when major services were done, etc.

You could easily invest $10K-$15K to bring that car up to spec and then still have issues with which to deal!

It is that price because it is a Euro "grey market" car.

+1... Euro cars are worth much less than US cars... mark my words when you go to trade it in.

Reality Check

If the car was not a Euro car and had all the service records with a clean history and less miles I would say $80K is good.

I've owned Ferrari's for the last 12 years and have come across clean higher mileage euro cars but have found similar condition US car for slightly more.

When buying a Ferrari find the right car first and try to negotiate a price within budget (The right cars were owned buy enthusiasts who spared no expense$$$ for maintenance - There are Ferrari(s) which have had the "minimum" done to keep them running).

BTW: On the 360 IIRC the carbon fiber interior was not an option on the non-Stradale 360(s) - With these cars its all about being factory when it comes time to trade-up.

+2. Although if you can get it cheap enough to begin with, getting less when you sell shouldn't be an issue.

I was seriously thinking about buying a Euro, but spent a little more to buy a US car. My reasoning was simple... there are probably 50 buyers willing to buy a US car vs. 1 who doesn't mind Euro. Not that anything is wrong with Euro, just a stigma.
