It depends upon the meaning of clean title.
The car was damaged and not salvaged. It was obviously repairable. So for sure carfax will report the damage. What affect is the damage on the title? it happens all the time.
As a point of reference, the Enzo that was destroyed by "Dieter" in Malibu 2 years ago was purchased by Ferrari and flown to Maranello to be rebuilt. It was a "Euro" version not to have come to the US in the first place. So it will undoubtably be repaired and resold in Europe.
BTW, Ferrari reported selling 399 Enzo's and making one more for a charity auction but in fact they built and sold more than 449 the sales of which have been independently tracked!
