599 and Veyron busted racing...well just the Veyron

remember the 2-way radios are way faster than that Veyron! He would have landed himself in wayyyy more trouble if he had tried to run...spike strips...wreck..no telling..he did the correct thing and pulled over and took the ticket!

And as far as the radio goes it can, by the time it takes for a police vehicle to reach the same point the Veyron will be it will be too late. It takes a ton of coordination to track down such a high speed flee'ing vehicle.
Also most police departments will not even chase after a certain point unless the person in the vehicle commited a felony.

also, it probably takes this guy an hour to earn $1000 so a ticket is pocket changes to him. You can't buy your way out of being in the slammer or worse, death or injury, the driver or innocent bystander.

all good and well but that was in the UK and except in very rare circumstances anything 30 miles over the speed limit for the road in question is an instant disqualification.
that means 60mph in town, 100mph on the motorway is the ceiling if you want to just get a fine and points on your licence. this or over results in a ban, usually of 6 months, though longer if speed is excessive
thats looking like being the last drive he will get in any car for a while. on one hand given that cars potential you would think they might hit him hard with points (12 of which gained equal disqualification, speeding usually carries 3-6 per offense based on a graduated fixed scale) since he could have opened up however its probably high profile so im going to assume an example will be made for all those teenage boys in their bodykitted cars.
that really was a case of who would blink first between the ferrari and the veyron once the police showed up. i still cant believe the ferrari had the forethought to remove plates haha.
