Ferrari deal of a lifetime?

Is this the deal of a lifetime, or am I just out of touch on Ferrari pricing?

It is a good deal but that's a ton of mileage (in general) for a Ferrari.

I was interested in that car when it came up for sale about 3 years ago, but it's mileage then was a concern. I think it was around 50K miles at that time.

It's a beautiful car, beautiful color, and a great value due to the replaced interior leather.

You need to find out which of the known trouble areas have been serviced- window misalignment, radiator issues towards overheating, and, of couse, the possibility of a transmission issue which is horribly expensive to repair despite the fact that it is a GM tranny!

It could be a good deal but caveat emptor!

Is that car just a regular automatic transmission? No paddle shift or anything?

A regular general Motors auto tranny from that era.

No paddle shifts.

They were not introduced until late 1997 on the 355.

Wow. This car sold for $40,100.

How much did this car sell for when it was brand new in 1997?

About $220,000.00!

Historically 2+2 Ferrari's have not held their values.

Question

What are 612 Scags going for? I don't see those holding onto much more than 30% residual in 10 years either.

Z.

With the F1 and a few options it's about $335,000.00!

It will substantially depreciate for sure.

Yup.

There is a 2005 Scag on Ebay right now for $190K with 12.5K miles...

It's on the way down!

The Scag is wonderful dynamically, and sobering visually.

Cheers,

Zubin.

Never liked the 456, it's an ugly car plain and simple, not much else to say...
