FERRARI F430 TO SPORT PUNCTURE-PROOF TYRES

Goodyear run-flats now option on 196 mph supercar
The new Ferrari F430, successor to the 360 Modena, will be available with the exclusive Runflat tyre option of Goodyear Eagle F1 EMT, according to Goodyear. The EMT (Extended Mobility Technology) allows the tyre to run flat keeping both high performance and safety. Previously, drivers of performance-oriented cars have seen run-flat tyres as unsuitable for such cars for handling reasons.
The new Run Flat equipped Ferrari F430 will be exclusively fitted with Goodyear's Eagle F1 GS-D3 EMT 225/35ZR19 (front) and Goodyear's Eagle F1 GS-D3 EMT 285/35ZR19 (rear).
The Goodyear Eagle F1, the award winning top performer of Goodyear's high performance tyre range, can match Ferrari's latest creation, said Goodyear. With its 490bhp, 4.3 litre V8, Ferrari's new F430 takes four seconds to reach 62 mph from a standing start and reaches a top speed of more than 196 mph.
"A car with such performance needs to be equipped with the best tyres on the market. We are proud that Ferrari chose Goodyear's Eagle F1 with Runflat technology. The Eagle F1 provides excellent performance for the F430 and at the same time Goodyear's Runflat technology guarantees the highest possible level of safety should the driver have a puncture," said Jean Jacques Wiroth, European director of sales and marketing.
Goodyear Runflat tyres can be safely driven after a puncture or total loss of pressure. The reinforced sidewalls consist of an innovative rubber that bears the weight of the car even when the tyre is totally deflated and that keeps the tyre on the rim.
Goodyear claims the Eagle F1, with its V-shaped tread design and OneTRED technology, continues to set the standard among tyres in its class. It has captured the top spot in key consumer magazine ratings, won several technology awards and captured top spot in countless tyre comparison tests including Auto Express, evo and Which.
Goodyear calls itself the world's leading manufacturer of Runflat tyres and has, it says, been selected for prestigious cars such as Chevrolet's Corvette, various BMW models, the award winning Mini, Mercedes-Benz high performance cars, Maserati and other brands. Additional Goodyear Runflat fitments are on the horizon, as the company's designers are working with multiple manufacturers on more than 100 Runflat projects.

i could pretty much bet that F430 owners will swap these out though... who in their right mind would want to shake their teeth loose when riding over the slightest bumps?!? plus, wihtout sidewall give i wonder if there are adverse perfomance issues to be discovered.
dont the Ford GTs come form the factory with these tires as well?
