Ownership experience and cost estimate for our 360 Spider
I took a bit of time this week to put down some thoughts about owning a 360. We have had two of them and our current 360 spider just passed 50k miles. I know that are always lots of people here looking at buying them and I hope that some of our experiences will be helpful to you as you shop. Please let me know if you have any questions and please add your own experiences in the comments section of each page if you have a few minutes. It will add some value to those who read it in the future.

Thank you very much for this valuable information. I have been debating moving into a 360 or Gallardo for some time now, but have always stuck with the safer bet, the Porsche brand for reliability and ownership cost reasons.
Having read your other post regarding the Gallardo, I feel much more informed and confident in what to look for when making my next purchase, Its always nice to get first hand feed back from an actual owner. I know everyone's experiences will vary as will the service costs but gives a very good guidline as to what the average owner should expect in terms of ownership.
Thank you once again for taking the time to write this up:-)

Damn. I don't think I'd be happy paying that much for a car then having a bunch of little problems like that.

People have different experiences with these cars and some seem to be more on the extreme side than others. When this was posted on Fchat, there's a lot of feedback from various owners on their experiences. I would agree with most of the fchatters that mred's experience is not the "normal" ownership experience.

as a 360 owner I can tell you that this information is to be taken with a LARGE grain of salt..
These expenses are on the absolute HIGHEST side I have ever seen.... and so do most ferrari owners.. when he posted this on Fchat there was universal disagreement about his prices.. and one of the posters is a highly respected ferrari mechanic who blatatly said that the quoted prices are "fantasy land"
I Agree completely.. I would urge any buyer to look at these "reports" as absolute worst case scenario with the most overpriced mechanic on the planet.. and even with that in mind I STILL don't think this "report" is realistic in any way shape or form..
an example.. he states an alarm battery repair is 2-3k.. I had my alarm battery COMPLETELY replaced at a total cost of 300.00 (for part and labor) ... this is how out of wack this information is..
