Ferrari 575M maranello
#16
almost two years. bought it with 4600 now 6800 miles
it had the belts done upon my inspection /purchase. (5yr replacement)
i've done yearly oil, brake fluid changes and coolant, tranny fluid every two. although, i'm doing the gearbox yearly.
otherwise no issues. i can't recall another 575 owner with any problems. 550's have some nagging issues.
really is a great car. motors are strong ( i recently rode in a 58k mile 550) and the 575 tranny is built to handle the power.
only issues i've seen is with the TPMS. sensors are expensive and finicky. most just have the dealer disable it.
ton of car for the money especially when the 360/430 variants are a dime a dozen.
i like to thing of it as a sexier corvette with nicer interior.

Most of that was actually the engine note of a 355 dubbed over the video of the maranello. the 550 and 575 are both performance bargains, and a 550 barchetta i predict will be similar to the daytona spider in terms of collect-ability one day down the road.

This would also of course be predicated on the service history and mileage of the car in question. Buying the right car makes ALL the difference. If you purchase a proper example, (no stories) with documented complete and up to date services you're yearly maintenance costs may only entail a 1500 annual service. However, purchase the wrong car and one service may actually exceed the value of the car.

550/575 Maranello's, IMO, won't be appreciating classics. Great cars, but FAR too many produced, and certainly undistinguished. Even the 355, which is, perhaps, the best entry level Ferrari hasn't done well price-wise. Arguably, though I disagree, the 575 SA (with the funky hinged roof) might appreciate, but between the two I think the BPF is the better wager of any of the above.

1,500 miles a year makes u a PERFECT Fcar owner. hell, if u think u can change fluid yourself - your looking a virtually no dealer maint. outside of belts.....
although fcar owners like to c dealer services....

We have a 99 550 that Maranello, just had it tuned at MMS in roslyn, ny (Great place for any kind of work). The car is unbelievable, its fast and has a ton of torque. Had the car for 10 years and its had a few problems but nothing that cant be taken care of. But after its been to MMS the car runs flawless (Better then it did when it was new)
