i was not doubting the validity of your numbers, sorry i didnt mean it to sound that way!

i guess i was just surprised at how much drivetrain loss their is!!

Blame the DCT for those amazing numbers the 458 puts out with such comparatively little power/torque at the wheels. Look what a DCT has done for that heavy weight GTR.

The 458 is 900+lbs lighter than the GTR and with the Italia having 450whp, plus that trick DCT, I can easily see the performance especially given the power to weight of the Italia.

If the stock GTR can do high to mid 11's @ 120+, due in large part to its DCT, despite its 3900lb weight and 430whp, then the 458 will be even faster with more whp and 900lbs less to move. I see no controversy with the numbers

Does the 458 use a staged exhaust similar to the 430 or is it more a traditional style?

Yes it is similar to the 430s w/ valves.
