Z06 or Gallardo for Ferrari Owner

Need some opinion fro Ferrari Owners,

Looking at picking up a 07 Corvette Z06 or a 04 Lamborghini Gallardo 6 Speed Manual. a bit torn between the 2. What would you pick up and why ?

Thanks,

If you've got the means, it's not even a choice. Yeah the Z06 is probably the best performance car for the money in the world, but the fit and finish (especially interior) are garbage.

I'd go for the Lambo all day. For reference, I switch between a 996 Turbo X50 and a G550 as my daily drivers.

The Lambo is going to be a lot more expensive in the long run; maintenance, and if, it is not cared for and running well down the road, depreciation. Tough decision.

I'd go for the ZO6: a seven year old Lambo is going to kill you on maintenance.

everybody's got an opinion, but if the cars in your signature are yours, I guess I'd ask why you want one of those two. Depending on the need you are trying to fulfill, the answer may be different.

track monster, daily driver, or car to play with - Z06
something to impress the neighbors, valet park, and occassionally beat on - G

just my opinion. I know everyone points to the TT G's being built, but a try track or performance car needs to have low maintenance, and the only thing I've seen those TTG's be good for is the standing mile...as I said, everyone has an opinion...

Thanks guys for your point of view. After reading your opinions, I guess I'm just looking for another track toy for fun and variety. The Z06 is an 07 and only has 700km on it at about half the price of the Lambo. It'll be interesting to see how it feels compared to the F430 on the track next season.

As to djantlive, I've simply asked for opinion comparing the two cars so need to dish anyone here. But if it makes you feel more superior in some way, all the more power to you.

Track car - Z06. Any other purpose - Gallardo.

The Z06 would be so much cheaper to track I would pick it for that reason alone.

Track toy for fun and variety? I'd go neither and do a GT3 or GT3 RS.

Decided on the Z06. Just spent a bunch of money of the 997 in upgrades this year so would like to enjoy it for a bit longer before I trade it in for the GT3 or GT3RS. Or maybe wait a couple more years for some GT2RS to come on the 2nd hand market. Going down to the dealer to pay for the Z06 this afternoon. Here are a couple of pics. Something totally different and a nice compliment to the rest of the fleet.

I think for the money the Z06 is amazing. You can beat it all day long and it is durable. Parts are cheap and there are some nice upgrades/mods available at very reasonable costs. I wish the interior was a bit nicer but once you are driving the car you quickly forget about the cheap plastic bits and really enjoy the spirit of the car. Enjoy your new toy. Excellent decision!
