There's actually a big difference. The P40S is 1-2 lbs lighter than the original P40.

If you take a look at the profile of the wheels, the spokes are slightly thinner in some areas. Also the center bowl near the lug bolts is deeper. The lines on the spokes are straight with a kink. The P40S is the newest version of the design.
