08 Scud price
#16
It's my understanding early 08 and late 08 are different. It may be only software though. Dealers asking 200-230 for any scud are dreaming since the 458 is getting easier to grab.

Yes, all later '08 Scuds include the 'U.S. Carbon Package'
That (CEXU) package includes the rear carbon diffuser, carbon door sills, and the carbon front splitter.
MSRP increased coincident with that 'forced' option.

The one I mentioned is at Continental in Chicago area for 195. Ask for David Alexander. Cauley in Michigan has also been helpful. The trade value I was offered was unfavorable, 142 for an 09 Gallardo. Scuds are not worth 200 to me. There are many available and the technology is ancient. Love the look though. I used to think a GT2 would be more usable in all settings, but the Scud is so comfortable (ironically)
I'd sure like to have one for a summer. I can't seen to commit mentally to a 458. Probably will accept a boring winter then get Aventador in spring 12. If I'm lucky

This car is a very late '08 production and appears to have the carbon package. Priced at $207K

Yeah, the prices on these seem to be hyper-mileage sensitive.

I don't personally consider the technology 'ancient' at all.. (I know you didn't originate the thought). There are far, far more technologically ancient cars running about.
Residual value will take a hit when the 458 Scud is released.
I seriously considered a silver '08... just wasn't up to shipping her to Chicago for service.
FWIW, it was a late build with U.S. carbon package, < 7K miles, 90%+ clutch (yep, I couldn't believe it either), listed for $191k.. offered it to me at $186k.
$.02

There was a yellow Scud at Cauley for $230k on consignment. I don't see it on the website now.
Michigan does not give tax credit for trades made out of state, so that could be a factor for some. It sure hurts me.
One can get more power, dual clutch, direction injection for less cash but it may add zero to driving pleasure.
After viewing the new Lambo, I think Scud and 458 are top dogs.
