458 VS Aventador what to buy????
Hi guy´s
First let me say thanks to a very good forum spent many many hours looking on different things on this site
I am looking to buy a new car and had decided to get a 2013 458 everything was done just to transfer the money and then drive away as a happy puppy. But when I was at the dealer they rolled in a red Aventador brand new also 2013 and that created a problem for me
Both of the cars is fantastic but I have to get one or the other.
What do you think??? I hope you can help me decide
I don´t care so much about if the 458 is 1 sec faster round a track or if the aventador is fast 0-200 the car will not be used as a race car.
Think more autobahn and Monaco then Nürburgring I still have my old 997 GT3 RS for that
And also I am a car user meaning that it will be used and for long trips from time to time.
I am a bit stressed that the Lambo will be hard to live with everyday in city traffic and such but maybe I am wrong.

For me the choice was easy. The 458 has a fantastic DCT and all of the amenities anybody could reasonably want. My seats are comfortable and fully electric, there is nav/sat radio, etc. On the other hand, the Lambo has crappy visibility, a mediocre dated low tech single clutch tranny, weak comfort/ergonomics, etc. If you drove the car once a week then I'd say go for the audacious Bull. The 458 will NEVER have the bark of the Aventador. However, if like me, you will use the car as a DD, the 458 is THE best overall sports car available in the World (at least in 2013). My 2 cents.

+1.
I'd prefer the MP4-12C to the 458.

Performance wise the Mac and 458 are VERY similar, but as looks and sounds go the 458 is my choice. Can't go wrong with either one as a DD. As I said if your steed is a once a week drive I'd have no hesitation opting for the big Bull.

The Aventador simply will not make a good daily driver. IMO if you are in an urban area, parking, driving slow and dealing with the transmission clunks will make you want a daily driver.
On the other hand a 458 isn't much better, just much smoother.
It really just depends on your situation. In my current situation I could daily an Aventador. However, we have smooth roads and I don't ever have to deal with Atlanta traffic. If I did, there's no way i'd have an Avenator and not something simple as well for daily abuse like an Audi diesel (cheap, 300ft/lbs and launch control with a tune, 45mpg) or similar. Driving a 458 daily could be doable, but again, if I was spending 300k, i'd have a daily driver for traffic, shopping, hauling my dogs, etc.
