white f430?

white f430?
Has anyone successfully painted their car white? They are hard to come by so I was thinking of just buying a low mileage one at a decent price and repainting it white. But not sure if anyone has done this before.

Better off wrapping it. Costs a lot less and wont kill the value of the car. Plu you can go matte white or regular white. Repainting and exotic is not a great idea to be honest.

Wrapping it will be around $3500 to put on.

Why do people not just paint it? Is it bad to paint exotics? If you take it to a reputable shop, shouldn't it look decent? I'd think it will cost less than $3500 to paint it vs wrapping it glossy.

Yes it's not a good idea to paint an exotic. Also you will not get a decent pain job for anywhere near 3500. Why wouldn't you wrap it?

You'll bring the value down at least 20K if you painted it, especially a different color. Think wrapping is your only choice. Or be patient and try to find a white one - they are out there. Try posting on Ferrarichat.com, and keep looking at the cars.com, etc.

Here's a Bianco Avus 430 for sale. Do not know the car, nor dealer.

As previously said, you will not be happy with a repaint, one the cost up to 30K, resale, and not knowing the quality and time (weeks/months) it takes to get it done right. For the wrap, it is an option, but know some guys that had their car wrapped for the track, then when it was unwrapped, it peeled the original factory paint off the front and rear bumpers. Apparently paint does not adhere as well on plastics as it does on aluminum.

Wraps are usually poorly done. If you get one, go with a shop with good rep and check out their past work.
Repaint is about $7-9k with panels off and interior stripped.
Just buy a white one. They are out there

Difficult to clean with bugs, dirt, etc. Much more maintenance than a painted factory white. So b4 going for a wrap, drill down about how it is to maintain, especially over time.

Re-painting will decrease value as previously stated (if that matters to you).
Wrapping carries a risk of damaging factory paint (if that matters to you).
I would look for a car that was painted white from the factory.
