F430 Spyder: How much over MSRP?
Hi guys,
I have a friend looking to purchase two F430 Spyders with the F1 transmissions. What is the lowest amount over MSRP can he acquire these vehicles?
He is looking for the following color combos:
Black/Black
Red/Saddle
The buyer is a very high NW individual who is looking for a long term relationship with an exotic auto broker/dealer and plans to turn the cars every 12-18 months and put no more than 3000 miles per vehicle.
Your feedback and leads are appreciated. Thanks.
Sandy

430 spider right now, $80-100k over msrp and thats the only way he is going to get one. As far as I know dealers aren't even putting people on the order "list" as all cars are spoken for.
My advice, find a good dealer and get a nice 360 spider, let them know you really want a 430s and when one becomes available he would like to upgrade.

The hype will slowly die down with Ferrari unleashing thousands of cars into the US market in the next couple of years.

And as I said, not just anyone can go buy one for msrp. With the expected release of the 430CS things aren't going to get much better.
Anyone shocked by this hasn't been around f-cars for very long. The 360's were purchased the same way for a very long time, and even at the end of the run a CS was hard to get for MSRP.
So either buy a 360 and wait, or drop an extra $80k over msrp for a 1000 mile 430s.

Real numbers as of this weekend
In NoCal for a 430 Coupe you need to spend 38-50k over MSRP (these are actual sale prices in the past 2 weeks on 3 cars in the area). Another car was not sold for 48k over (consigned car looking for more dollars) Coupe production will be more limited this year to increase spider production. Don't expect Coupe prices to change dramatically as they become more scarce.
