depends what you're really going to use it for. If it's going to spend a lot of time at the track, it's a no brainer. You don't want to be running an fcar hard every other weekend. It will fall apart. You can beat on the pcar all day every day and never have a worry.

If you are just going to drive it on sundays for fun, you'll never beat the thrill of the CS. I know they're both supposed to be track cars, but let's be honest. There's no such thing as a ferrari track car.

As much as I love the new RS, CS is the smarter buy.

As long as you don't plan on tracking all the time...CS all the way. It's a beautiful car, and more thrilling to drive. It will also hold it's value better then the GT3 RS.

Actually, it is not a straightforward answer. I used to drive with GT-3's when I had my 996 tt and now I drive with CS's with my 360. The challenge stradale is a much better looking and fun car to drive. They appear to be pretty comparable at the track, I can pass GT-3's and CS's sometimes, but with good drivers, I cannot keep up with them - this was the same in my 996 tt.

But, there is a significant difference in cost of maintenance. The Ferrari goes through brake pads and rotors much faster than the Porsche and overall maintenance is increased. But, the CS holds its value much greater, the 360 CS, as there is no 430, now costs as much or more than its original price, compare that with 2 to 3 year old GT-3's.

+1. The RS would be my choice. After spending some time behind the wheel of a CS yesterday at the track it is hard to pass up though. In a perfect wourld I would have one of each.
