As another poster mentioned, the new ones have an improved transmission. That's one factor IMO.
2007 Vettes have the same issue, GM can't give them away because the 08 model has so many improvements.

they're nice sedans, beautiful interiors but NOT for buying only for leasing, and only used... steep is the word

05's have a bad rep
My local dealer told me that the 05's had so many problems that a lot of people are avoiding them. The 06's are holding up slightly better but still not great resale value.
