S. Florida - Lunch @ Hooters on June 19

Monthly lunch GTG @ Hooters - Meet @ 11:30 - 2pm
Date: June 19 - 3rd Saturday of each month.
Location: Hooters on Andrews in Ft Lauderdale:
6345 North Andrews Avenue
Fort Lauderdale, FL 33309
(954) 928-0026
<Google Map Hooters>

Try to get there by 11:30, as the parking lot fills up quickly (by other patrons) around 11:45. We'll take a drive down Las Olas and Ft Lauderdale Beach. It's a great opportunity to grab a quick bite, catch up with enthusiasts and enjoy the drive.
I apologise for not keeping up with the pix from last couple meets, but here are pix from past events...
May Cars & Coffee @ Tesla Motors
Pictures from March
Pictures from Feb meet
Pictures from Jan meet.

Chris, going to try to make it...might have an appointment--getting some new wheels thrown on my buddy's Aston Martin. I will be in Miami, so if I can I will be there, maybe in an Aston though!

I'll try my best but there might be a track rental that day but I'd honestly would rather go to the meet.

Watching or your dad driving? I drive down to spectate after lunch. The tarmac temp going over 110 is a bit too much for me/the car - I've seen undercoats on my car melt off coming off the track @ Homestead.

LOL.. was thinking it would be cool to run with you dad on the track - see how much faster RS would be on that track. The 4 long straights wouldn't help me though.

I'll probably sign up for Sebring comes Sept - god, i hope it'll be much cooler by then.

A new person joined us this month - in a bright yellow Z06 with the switchable Borla exhaust. I told him about your car and how he needs to get his wheels coated black, with yellow stripe. Showed him a picture of your car and he looks forward to checking it out at the next one.

How did the wheels come out for the AM?

Just wishful thinking.. it's Florida and it's hot 9 months out of the year.

Of the tracks I've driven at, I must admit Circuit at Mt Tremblant is probably my favorite - good technical track with nice elevation changes. Sebring is a historic track, with long history and I hear it's a lot of fun. With it being only 2hr drive away, I'd be silly not to take advantage of it.
